Planet Earth: our newest edition
Our Planet Earth edition is the newest STEM Charades pack. We made it with teachers and with our partners at Dynamic Earth, the science centre in the heart of Edinburgh, and SSERC, with support from the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account.
From oceans and animals to fossil fuels and solar power, the cards invite children to explore both the beauty of our planet and the challenges it faces.
You will notice a difference from our other packs. Many of these concepts ask children to act out as well as gesture, and some of the language may be unfamiliar to young children at first. That is part of the point: the game gives them a reason to use these words, and a way to show what they think they mean.

Andrew Manches is Professor of Children and Technology at the University of Edinburgh. He taught in infant and special education classrooms before moving into research, and created STEM Charades during the Move2Learn project.
