Looking back: our Scottish Knowledge Exchange Award

Cards from the STEM Charades Science edition

In 2022, our work through the Move2Learn project with Glasgow Science Centre and SSERC won the Making a Social Difference prize at the Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards.

The award recognised work to improve science education in museums, science centres and schools for children aged three to eight, particularly children with limited access to science learning. At its heart was a simple idea: that gesture and movement can help young children learn science.

It is a good reminder of how much this work depends on partnership. The Science edition of STEM Charades was one of our original packs, made with science facilitators and teachers during Move2Learn, and every pack since has been made the same way, with the people who use it.

You can try a free sample of the Science edition on our Resources page.
